What does walk-in actually mean?
Walk-in means you come to the studio without a booked appointment and get tattooed if there's capacity right now. Instead of planning weeks ahead, the current workload decides whether we can start immediately.
Whether a walk-in works depends on how busy we are and on the motif you want. On quiet days something spontaneous is often possible; on busy days there may be a wait, or we arrange a nearby appointment in person.
How does a walk-in at Tattoo-Werk work?
You drop by during opening hours at Wagramer Straße 115 (1220 Vienna-Donaustadt, U1 Kagran), show your motif idea, and we check which artist is free and whether your motif is doable right away.
On top of that, there are announced Walk-in Days — days when we deliberately gear up for spontaneous customers. Those are the days with the best chance of a tattoo without an appointment.
Why does walk-in suit Tattoo-Werk well?
Because we arrange appointments exclusively in person anyway, not by phone. Coming to the studio directly is simply the normal way to reach us — walk-in fits seamlessly into this concept.
The advantage: you see the studio, meet the artist and clarify your motif in conversation before anything is decided. That creates clarity on both sides.
What should you bring to a walk-in?
Bring a valid photo ID (being of legal age is required), a concrete motif idea, plus some time and patience for a possible wait. Reference images on your phone help the artist grasp your idea quickly.
- —Valid photo ID (ID required, 18+)
- —A motif idea, ideally with reference images
- —Some buffer time for a possible wait
- —For larger motifs: willingness to plan the process
Small motif or big project?
Small, clearly defined motifs like lettering, fine line or a small dotwork symbol are ideal for walk-in because they're done in one short session. Large or complex work — such as full-area realism, black & grey or a cover-up — needs a pre-drawing and usually several appointments.
For such projects it's still best to come by in person: we discuss your plan and set the next steps together.
